Glitter Elements - BCC2 Expansion

And today is the last of my BAM Color Challenge Expansions! I should be back from my trip by now, but I wanted to pre-post all of these just in case. Today you get a fun glitter elements pack. Kimi made these AWESOME seamless glitter styles (and sheets for those of you who can't use styles) and she let us use them in our color challenge desings:) I couldn't use them much for the baby kits, since glitter should be used sparingly with baby themed kits. But I loved them so much I just HAD to play with them and make some pretty glittery elements to share! I made so many that I had to split it into 2 downloads - and I very easily could have kept going! But I had to stop SOMEwhere;) Anyway, here's the preview:

Like the paper? It's in yesterday's Sweet Baby Neutral kit;) It's also featured on my blog, but it depends on your screen and resolution as to whether you can see it. It's the brown paper on the sides.

I'd love to hear back from you and see what you do with anything I make:)

And today is neutral day! It's also my neice's 8th birthday. Happy birthday Alex!! I don't know if you read this or not, but have a great birthday!

Anyway, Sweet Baby Neutral is a smaller kit than the boy and girl versions, but it can definitely be used with either. It's pretty versital, so it can be used for whatever you want:) Tomorrow I'm releasing a big glitter elements pack (I had to split it into 2 downloads), so don't forget to check in again tomorrow! If you missed Sweet Baby Girl or Sweet Baby Boy, they're just a few posts down;)

Here's a preview for Sweet Baby Neutral:

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for some free glitter elements! And as always, comments are very much appreciated:)

BAM Color Challenge 2 Blog Train!

It's time! The Baby and Me Color Challenge 2 blog train is launching! Each month, we are challenged to make either a LO or a minikit consisting of 3 papers and 3 elements using a particular palette. This month, I got to choose our palette. I loved it so much that I kept going and made 4 expansions!! Many of the other girls have expansions coming as well, including glitter styles and sheets, so check out their blogs over the next few days! We're in various time zones, so please be patient if not all the minikits are up yet - keep checking, they will be!

This was our palette for the month of April:

Retro Rainbow Expansion

I finally did my expansion from our March color challenge blog train! I had to finish Emma's ABC book first, but now that that's finished and sent off to print, I can work on my myriad other projects.

It took me forever to get this uploaded, since our internet is very tempermental about upload speeds. It was around 30-40 Kb/s when I finally got it to work, but it was more like 5 Kb/s when I tried earlier...and 4shared kept canceling it as a result. Very frustrating. But it's now up and available for download! Here's the preview:

Retro Rainbow Expansion includes everything shown in the preview and a full alpha (used for the title in the preview). It's a full 12x12 size kit in 300 DPI. For some reason, one of the papers wouldn't open as a JPG, so I had to save it as a PNG instead. *shrug* I have no idea why, but it works;)

**Edit: fixed alpha link. Sorry about that! I accidentally uploaded it twice, so I deleted the duplication. I already had the link pasted and I guess it was for the one I deleted. It SHOULD work now. Let me know if you run into any problems!**

If you haven't picked up my blog train minikit yet, you can do so here.

As always, I'd love to hear back from you and see your LO's with my freebies:) I have an addon for Emma's Toybox in the works, and I've started on April's color challenge for BAM. I got to pick the palette this month, so I got a head start;) I had to try out the colors a little beforehand to make sure they'd look good as papers and such. I also have 2 new templates; one in the post before this, and another is coming in just a few minutes in the following post. LOL, I'm freebie happy today!

BAM Color Challenge #1 Blog Train!

The Baby and Me Color Challenge #1 blog train is launching! This is so exciting. This is my first blog train, and my 2nd kit. The challenge was to either make a minikit or a LO using the palette shown in the preview below. It was a really fun palette to work with! I'm making an expansion with it after I finish up the ABC book I'm making. Don't worry; I finished W today and will be doing X later tonight (after a speed scrap), so it will be coming soon. I know at least 2 or 3 of the other girls will have expansions as well, so keep checking for more! Here's a preview of my part:

Emma's Toybox and Life is All About

Emma's Toybox is up and ready for download! I spent a lot of time on this one. This is my first "real" kit - or at least, the first one I'm making available. I got a bit carried away with making stuff, so it's pretty big - and I even cut out half the papers! I'm toying with the idea of making an add-on that includes some of the rejected papers, and making a few new ones as well. It won't be until April at the earliest, though. I need to finish Emma's ABC book by the end of the month if I want to get it printed and mailed to me by Easter.

But first, I have a pretty page to share. I'm making a template with this LO, which I will probably post later tonight. We did a recipe to scrap on BAM. It's similar to a speed scrap, in that you have certain parameters to meet in your LO, but you get all the directions at once and have a month to put your page together. These were the parameters:

1. Photo (as many as you want.)
2. Frame your photo, but don't use a frame
3. A Shape, any shape
4. Stitching
5. Doodles
6. 1 background paper
7. ribbon (at least 3)
8. word art

(These instructions were ScrapMatters' October recipe.)

And here's my page:

Sweet girl word art - Elisja, About Girl

And now for Emma's Toybox!! Emma's Toybox is a full-sized 12x12 kit at 300 DPI. Oh, and it's free;) Links are at the end of the post. Here is the preview:

Included in the kit are 20 papers, 60 elements, and 4 full alphas. All the toys are available as individual pngs, as well in the toybox. The toybox is available open and empty, closed, skewed lid, and skewed lid with toys. The lid also has it's own png. The word arts are all available with the decorative words and in plain black.

These are the pages I did with it. Since the entire inspiration for this kit came as I was planning for Emma's ABC book (T is for Toys, after all), I had to use it to make my T page - and S needed to work well against T, so I had to make S with it as well.

Pardon my ugly carpet LOL. It would look better if I extracted all the shoes, but it just wasn't worth the effort. That'd be a lot of shoe extractions!

And these are the pages my lovely "CT" made for me. It was pretty much an open call on BAM and my LJ digiscrap group, so I have quite a few pages to share. Hm, next time I'll make sure they're all the same size for posting. My internet connection isn't that great (ok, it SUCKS - it took me 2 hours to download something that was only 8.5 megs), so I'm direct linking from everyone else's image hosting. Hopefully that's ok;) Anyway, here are the pages:

Kimi (she used template 19 for her LO):

Kasie (she used template 14 for her LO):

Stacy:

Kim (2 pages)

Jen (2 pages):

Amy:

Elly (she used Kimi's template 8 for her LO):

Didn't they do a great job?! I hope you like the kit! I'm still learning about kit making, so don't make fun of me TOO much;) I've learned a lot through this process, so hopefully as I continue to try making kits, I'll get better and better at it. I'm releasing a minikit for a color challenge on BAM on Friday, and template 20 will be up later, so stay tuned!
