Emma's Toybox and Life is All About

Emma's Toybox is up and ready for download! I spent a lot of time on this one. This is my first "real" kit - or at least, the first one I'm making available. I got a bit carried away with making stuff, so it's pretty big - and I even cut out half the papers! I'm toying with the idea of making an add-on that includes some of the rejected papers, and making a few new ones as well. It won't be until April at the earliest, though. I need to finish Emma's ABC book by the end of the month if I want to get it printed and mailed to me by Easter.

But first, I have a pretty page to share. I'm making a template with this LO, which I will probably post later tonight. We did a recipe to scrap on BAM. It's similar to a speed scrap, in that you have certain parameters to meet in your LO, but you get all the directions at once and have a month to put your page together. These were the parameters:

1. Photo (as many as you want.)
2. Frame your photo, but don't use a frame
3. A Shape, any shape
4. Stitching
5. Doodles
6. 1 background paper
7. ribbon (at least 3)
8. word art

(These instructions were ScrapMatters' October recipe.)

And here's my page:

And now for Emma's Toybox!! Emma's Toybox is a full-sized 12x12 kit at 300 DPI. Oh, and it's free;) Links are at the end of the post. Here is the preview:

Included in the kit are 20 papers, 60 elements, and 4 full alphas. All the toys are available as individual pngs, as well in the toybox. The toybox is available open and empty, closed, skewed lid, and skewed lid with toys. The lid also has it's own png. The word arts are all available with the decorative words and in plain black.

These are the pages I did with it. Since the entire inspiration for this kit came as I was planning for Emma's ABC book (T is for Toys, after all), I had to use it to make my T page - and S needed to work well against T, so I had to make S with it as well.

Pardon my ugly carpet LOL. It would look better if I extracted all the shoes, but it just wasn't worth the effort. That'd be a lot of shoe extractions!

And these are the pages my lovely "CT" made for me. It was pretty much an open call on BAM and my LJ digiscrap group, so I have quite a few pages to share. Hm, next time I'll make sure they're all the same size for posting. My internet connection isn't that great (ok, it SUCKS - it took me 2 hours to download something that was only 8.5 megs), so I'm direct linking from everyone else's image hosting. Hopefully that's ok;) Anyway, here are the pages:

Kimi (she used template 19 for her LO):

Kasie (she used template 14 for her LO):

Stacy:

Kim (2 pages)

Jen (2 pages):

Amy:

Elly (she used Kimi's template 8 for her LO):

Didn't they do a great job?! I hope you like the kit! I'm still learning about kit making, so don't make fun of me TOO much;) I've learned a lot through this process, so hopefully as I continue to try making kits, I'll get better and better at it. I'm releasing a minikit for a color challenge on BAM on Friday, and template 20 will be up later, so stay tuned!
